WHAT IS Process Work?
Process Work, or Process-Oriented Psychology, is a holistic and experiential approach to therapy that helps you explore the deeper meaning behind your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, dreams, and life patterns.
Rather than trying to simply “fix” symptoms, Process Work invites curiosity about what your experiences might be communicating. Together, we gently explore subtle signals, inner conflicts, and personal edges — the places where growth and change often begin.
Using tools such as movement, imagery, dialogue, and practical exercises, Process Work supports you to better understand different parts of yourself, resolve inner tensions, and create lasting shifts in how you feel, relate, and move through life.
Process Work is creative, client-led, and deeply respectful of your own inner wisdom — making it a powerful approach if you are seeking therapy that builds self-awareness, meaning, and real-life change.
HEART RATE COHERENCE
Heart Rate Coherence, often known as HeartMath, is a gentle, science-informed approach that helps regulate stress and emotions by bringing your heart, breath, and nervous system into balance.
Using simple breathing and awareness techniques, supported by real-time heart rhythm feedback, you learn how to shift your body out of stress and into a calmer, more regulated state in real-time. When your heart rhythms become more balanced, your body and mind work more efficiently together, with studies suggesting it supports:
-
reduced stress
-
improved emotional regulation
-
clearer thinking
-
greater resilience
HeartMath tools are practical and easy to use in everyday life, helping you build lasting skills to manage stress, respond rather than react, and feel more grounded in yourself.
I offer Heart Rate Coherence sessions as a supportive addition to therapy, particularly for those experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or difficulty regulating emotions.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a well-established therapeutic approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Thoughts are incredibly powerful, it’s important to realise that they can be used against you even without your knowing. Clients have to become aware that their thoughts represent them. They fuel these unhealthy scenarios. In addition, thoughts become habits and negative thinking can quickly start to control the mindset in a number of ways.
The word cognitive refers to our thinking patterns, while behavioural relates to the actions and habits that often follow those thoughts. CBT helps identify unhelpful thinking styles and behavioural patterns, and supports the development of healthier, more constructive ways of responding to life's challenges.
Through practical tools and structured techniques, CBT supports clients to recognise patterns that may be contributing to distress, set realistic goals, and make gradual, positive changes in daily life. By learning new ways of thinking and responding, many people experience improved emotional wellbeing and a greater sense of control.
CBT is commonly used to support people experiencing:
-
Anxiety and worry
-
Stress and overwhelm
-
Depression and low mood
-
Panic symptoms
-
Phobias and fears
-
Obsessive-compulsive patterns
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Anger and emotional regulation challenges
-
Addictive behaviours
-
Chronic pain and health-related stress
-
Eating concerns
HYPNOTHERAPY
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to support positive change. It involves entering a calm, deeply relaxed state where the mind becomes more receptive and open to exploring underlying thoughts, emotions, and patterns.
In this state, you remain aware and in control, but with fewer distractions from the busy thinking mind. This can make it easier to access deeper layers of experience and gently shift unhelpful beliefs, habits, or emotional responses.
Hypnotherapy is often used as a complementary approach within psychotherapy, helping to support emotional wellbeing, behaviour change, and the processing of stress or past experiences.
It may be helpful for:
-
Anxiety and stress
-
Habits and behavioural patterns
-
Confidence and self-esteem
-
Emotional regulation
-
Phobias and fears
-
Processing past experiences
Hypnotherapy is not about losing control or being “put under.” Rather, it is a collaborative process that works with your natural ability to focus, imagine, and create change from within.
supports your thinking and emotional processing.

WALK AND TALK OR
Nature Therapy
I offer outdoor therapy sessions in natural settings on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and in the Northern Rivers, NSW. Walk and Talk therapy offers the opportunity to explore your inner world while moving through nature together. Whether we are walking side-by-side or sitting quietly outdoors, the natural environment becomes part of the therapeutic process.
Research shows that spending time in nature can reduce stress, improve mood, and support emotional wellbeing. Gentle movement, fresh air, and natural surroundings can help shift feelings of being stuck, making it easier to reflect, process emotions, and gain new perspectives.
For some people, talking while walking feels more natural and less intense than sitting face-to-face in a room. Nature can offer a sense of calm, grounding, and spaciousness that supports meaningful emotional shifts and deeper self-awareness.
Outdoor therapy can be especially helpful if you feel drawn to nature, feel restless in traditional therapy settings, or sense that movement supports your thinking and emotional processing.
DOES Therapy WORK?
Sometimes we reach a point where something inside us knows a shift is needed. Perhaps life feels stuck, overwhelming, or repetitive — like the same patterns keep returning in different forms.
Therapy can help you pause, reflect, and understand your unique inner landscape. Humans are complex, and when we begin to understand why we feel, react, or struggle in certain ways, we create the possibility for meaningful change.
Therapy is not about being “fixed.” It is about being supported with curiosity, compassion, and honesty, as you explore your experience and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.
This life is not a dress rehearsal. It is possible to move from surviving to living more fully, with greater clarity, joy, resilience, and self-understanding.
I am here to walk alongside you as you make the shifts that feel most aligned — so your relationship with yourself, others, and life can feel more authentic and empowered.
